Growing Fresh Food.
Growing Community.
Growing Hope.

The Rob Till Community Garden is a joyful, thriving space
in the heart of the Grove community where neighbors come together to learn, grow and share. Named in honor of longtime Grove champion Rob Till, the garden reflects his belief that food brings people together and that every person deserves access to fresh, healthy produce.

What began as a small plot has grown into a collaborative community garden supporting The Gathering Place Free Grocery Market and families throughout Grove. Volunteers plant, water, weed, harvest and most importantly — connect. Here, we don’t just grow vegetables. We grow relationships, pride and opportunities.

At the Rob Till Community Garden, each harvest reflects the work of many caring hands. Depending on the season, you’ll find:

  • Fresh greens and lettuces
  • Tomatoes, peppers, cucumbers and squash
  • Herbs and pollinator plants
  • Root vegetables like carrots and potatoes
  • Seasonal specialties and educational garden beds

All produce harvested from the garden goes directly to neighbors through The Gathering Place Free Grocery Market.

The garden isn’t just about food — it’s about dignity, connection and community wellness. It:

🌱 Provides free, fresh produce to local families
🌱 Strengthens food security in the Grove community
🌱 Offers hands-on learning for children and adult
🌱 Creates a peaceful outdoor space for neighbors
🌱 Honors the legacy of Rob Till by continuing his spirit of service

No gardening experience? No problem. Whether you’re a seasoned grower or a total beginner, there’s a place for you in the Rob Till Community Garden.

Volunteers help with planting, watering, weeding, harvesting, and garden maintenance. Individuals, families, community groups and corporate volunteers are all welcome.
